Allergies are a disorder of the immune system from which your body overreacts to exposure to
"allergens". Allergic reactions can include itching, runny nose, watery eyes, hives, rashes and in
extreme cases anaphylaxis. Most allergic reactions are simply irritating however anaphylaxis can require
emergency treatment or hospitilization.
Allergy causes are diverse and may include pollen, pet dander, latex, food,
dust and other common substances. It is a good idea to seek medical services to properly diagnose your specific
situation and to develop a plan for living with your allergies.
Allergy treatment begins with a review of your personal medical history, lifestyle conditions
and specific tests to determine what triggers your allergies. After diagnosis, a treatment plan can be developed.
Plans commonly include over–the–counter medicines or prescription medications. For our patients requiring allergy
injections, we offer extended early morning and late afternoon hours for your convenience.
