The Allergy and Asthma Clinic of Northeast Georgia is the practice of Dr. Michael J. Maloney and Dr. John A. Yarbrough. The doctors are supported by Donell Ducote, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and a highly qualified staff. The practice was founded in Gainesville in 1986 and a second clinic was opened in Hiawassee in 1992.

  Dr. Michael J. Maloney, a Georgia native, is Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Allergy-Immunology. Dr. Maloney completed undergraduate studies at Emory University and received his MD degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He is a member in good standing of the AMA, AAAAI, AAP and other medical organizations.

  Dr. John A Yarbrough, an Alabama native, is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy–Immunology. Dr. Yarbrough completed undergraduate studies at Mercer University and received his MD degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He is a member in good standing of the American Medical Association, The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, The American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and other medical organizations. He was re–certified by the American Board of Allergy-Immunology in 1997 and in 2007. He has served as president of the Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society of Georgia 2007-2009.

  Donell Ducote, FNP-C., a Louisiana native, earned a degree in Nursing from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Ms. Ducote is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Since joining the Practice in 1999 she has received ongoing Allergy–Immunology training from Dr. Maloney and Dr. Yarbrough.

The Doctors also own and operate The Northeast Georgia Research Center, LLC. The Center is a private practice clinical research center founded in 1990 by Drs. Michael J. Maloney and John A. Yarbrough, both Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology. The mission of the Center is to provide quality research through educating the community about the benefits of pharmaceutical studies while providing a continuity of care for allergy and asthma patients of all ages. Dr. Maloney, Dr. Yarbrough and our research staff have completed clinical trials for many respected companies including, but not limited to, Pfizer, Altana, Sanofi–Aventis, Glaxo and Merck.
